You have an iPad, check. You want to protect it because it’s a valuable piece of equipment, but at the same time make it a little unique, or different from others. Whether you want to reflect your personality, or your company style and branding, there are a multitude of options available to you online, where you can find a range of cases and covers for iPad that can be customized in a number of ways.
The question is now, how do you find the best iPad cases to suit your protective needs, that fit in with how you or your company will be using the iPad, and also how you can have them customized for your personal style or your company style.
Here we have a list of companies online (in no particular order), where you can buy custom iPad cases in a range of styles, colors, and customizations, which may or may not suit you depending on your requirements, such as quantity and price among others.
Caseable – B2C Based
Founded in 2010 in Brooklyn, NY, Caseable was brought to life by partners who wanted to bring some life to cases. Caseable now delivers to many countries and regions around the world, manufacturing, and shipping from Germany.
Caseable offers a range of designs of iPad Cases, both new and old, and you can also create your own designs online on their website. It’s quite easy to design cases on their website, and they also offer a student discount, that is available if you shop on their partner site Student Beans.
Caseable does not seem to have a large range of cases for each iPad version, however, which limits options, and is purely B2C based, with no option to get assistance with your design.
Zazzle – B2C Based
Zazzle is an American-based online marketplace platform that has been around since 2005. Zazzle allows artists and designers to design their own custom-designed products that can be sold on the platform with some of the revenue going to the artists. Zazzle manufactures and delivers the products, so the artist does not need to handle them.
They are a well-known company and produce good quality products.
Zazzle has two styles available for creating your own personalized iPad cases. They have a traditional smart cover style and a whole cover style that covers the front and back. Both of these options are fully customizable, with a white base color.
Their prices are reasonable, however, it doesn’t seem that they have cases available for all the current iPad versions. At the time of writing they are available for the 10.5-inch iPad Pro, and the iPad 2/3/4. Zazzle also is a B2C platform, with no listed ways to seek assistance or to find quantity discounts.
Casetify – B2C Based
Casetify is a company that, as the name suggests, specializes in cases. Casetify began over 7 years ago in Hong Kong, with the idea that you could turn your Instagram photos into phone cases. Casetify has a cool brand image with a nice color palette and has partnered with a range of high-quality retail shops around the world. Casetify has a real consumer-based look and feel, which suggests that this is their main market, and they look like one of the better retailers.
Casetify offers a range of photo iPad cases and photo iPad covers with preconceived designs, in the form of a full coverage style case that protects the front and the back of the iPad. The cases look to be solid construction and have a viewing stand for easy viewing. They are available for most new iPad styles, and can also be customized fully on the front but not the back.
They offer free shipping worldwide, and a middle price in terms of what we see from the cheaper to more expensive premium custom cases. This puts Casetify as a solid contender in the best cases, with a good mix of quality, customization, and price. They do however just have one style of case, so if you’re looking for different options, it’s not the first place to look.
Etsy – B2C Based
Etsy is an online e-commerce website entirely focused on vintage and hand-made products. Products on the platform are sold by individual sellers, who make/produce the items and ship them. Etsy hosts a large variety of product categories. Vintage items must be over 20 years old, and custom goods must be custom.
Etsy has a number of sellers that make custom iPad cases, in a range of styles, and for most iPad versions. The pricing is variable, however, it looks to be on the lower-medium side of price, probably due to the competition. The quality and reviews make them seem like a good option mostly, with some products having a large number of reviews.
There is a large range of options for personalization and styles, so if you’re looking for inspiration and range, it’s well worth a look.
Shutterfly – B2C Based
As its name suggests, Shutterfly is deeply rooted in photography. Founded in 1999 and based in Redwood City in California, the company specializes in photography products such as personalized photo books, cards, and stationary and others such as wall art and decor, and a select few specialty products.
One of their specialty products is the Shutterfly iPad case, which comes in a range of ready-made case designs, as well as giving you the option to design your own, with a full front and back cover, with the front cover able to be designed with any photo you want to add, which can be easily uploaded.
The iPad photo case looks quite durable and sturdy, is a popular style, and comes in at a mid-range price per case. Reviews are mixed from happy to dissatisfied.
They don’t offer bulk pricing, and it also seems like their range is limited in terms of the iPad versions.
Story Leather – B2C Based
Story Leather was in their own words, ‘built by dreamers’, in Los Angeles CA. The name and their philosophy seem to intertwine, I suppose you can dream up a story, or tell a story to a dreamer right..?
Their product range is made entirely of leather as well, as the name suggests (we like it when a name helps us along with the meaning of the site). The range consists of a large range of wallets, business card holders, keychains, pouches, bags, accessories, and also phone and iPad cases and covers.
Their iPad cases are made in a nice and popular style, with 4 fold or a folio style. The leather comes in smooth, leather grain, and a few other finish options, and in a large range of colors. The cases can be monogrammed with a name, foil stamped or printed with a logo.
These cases look to be very high-quality cases in a good style, which we would have no trouble recommending. The pricing is on the high side, which if you’re looking for a quality product will not be an issue. They don’t list prices for logo imprinting, however, it is implied that they do have this service, so can provide B2B cases.
Pad and Quill – B2C Based
Similar to Story Leather, this company sells leather goods, their range much the same as Story Leather as well. Their story is a feel-good one, as it is a family business that was started by a couple, in 2010. They work with local artisans and are based on the banks of the Mississippi River in Minneapolis.
Their iPad cases are a nice style, covering the front and back of the iPad, and offering a viewing stand. They mostly come in a traditional brown smooth leather, as well as black and a lighter brown. They are mostly geared towards consumers, but they do state that they have corporate branding options available.
If you’re looking for quality real leather products, this store looks a good bet. Some of the products on sale are at a very reasonable price for real leather goods hand-made. However, they don’t state the price of corporate branding. They do have a phone number listed though, so it is easy to get in touch with them.
Gocustomized – B2C Based
Gocustomized is a company based in Amsterdam in the Netherlands, that focuses again as the name suggests, on custom. Their product range is cases, covers, and some apparel and gadgets. Starting in 2012 with phone cases, the company has grown and expanded to broaden its r ange of products and customization options.
They currently have a couple of different iPad case options, and just one option for the latest iPad generation, which is a front smart cover style. The whole front can be customized, the prices are reasonable, and the company and its products get very good online reviews.
They do have a specific and good-looking page for B2B inquiries, which indicates good customer service.
Mycustomcase – B2C Based
A site that purely offers cases and covers for mobile devices (great!). They offer custom cases for all iPad versions including the latest versions, in a range of ready-made designs and also with the option to customize your own case. Their cases look very similar to the cases on some of the other websites, with the front able to be customized.
Pricing is mid-range, which indicates a reasonable quality product, and the front and back of the case can be customized separately with their folio-style case, which is the only style option.
There is not much other information about Mycustomcase, such as where they came from, where they are based, and how they operate. But they do have a phone number so can be contacted quite easily.
