Congratulations! You have passed all of your college education courses and have received your degree that will allow you to become a teacher.

However, before you start choosing the color of your new classroom, there is one more thing you have to do before you become a highly qualified educator. You must pass the PRAXIS Elementary Education: Multiple Subjects Exam.

The PRAXIS exam is designed to assess whether a future educator has the content knowledge needed to teach elementary school effectively.

It may seem like common sense to you that since you have graduated from college or are close to it that you would have plenty of elementary content knowledge. However, now your state wants you to prove it.

The subjects covered in the exam are Mathematics, Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science. While it is quite a bit of content to prepare for, there are steps that you can take to make the process easier.

The amount of exams future educators have to take outside of their college courses is a bit crazy, but there is no getting around it.

Plus, you have to pay a good sum to take these exams. The bad news is that if you donโ€™t succeed in passing it, you have to spend even more time and money on taking it again. The best plan is to prepare yourself as well as you can and try to ensure that you will not have the need to retake anything.

The first step is to make sure you know what to expect on the exam. Each subject area is broken up into two or three categories.

You will have four hours and fifteen minutes on the exam to complete all four subject areas. In total, there are 235 selected-response questions.

Language Arts has 80 questions, Mathematics has 50 questions to it, Social Studies will have 55 questions, and Science wraps it all up with 50 questions of its own. Each section is timed differently, so be sure to listen to the test proctor when you are ready to start.

The PRAXIS exam will be administered entirely through a computer at the testing site. Most questions you will just have to click on the answer.

There are others that will require you to drag and drop and put things in order. Now that you know what to expect, it would be a good idea to brush up on some of your content area knowledge.

And since you are taking the PRAXIS exam through a computer, you might as well put technology to use to prepare for it.

As we all head further into the 21st century, the capabilities of technology knows no limits.

It seems every day there is some sort of new technology shared with the world. One entirely free way to prepare for the PRAXIS exam through available technology is by using the Quizlet website.

They have available flashcards to review some of the expected content. Plus, it is entirely free. You might as well put this amazing technology to good use to help you study for the PRAXIS exam.

There are options available that make it easier to prepare for this important exam by using online capabilities and instant downloads instead of textbooks.

Another option for studying online for the PRAXIS exam is the Exam Flashcard Study System available on iTunes. It is listed at 390 pages long and is available at a cost of $39.99. Flashcards are a repetitive way of studying, but they can often produce good results.

If those two options up above are not exactly what you are looking for, then 240 Tutoring has you well taken care of for your PRAXIS studying needs.

You will have access through their site to all the PRAXIS study guide questions you will want, also for $39.99.

Their online study guide has 974 practice questions and 396 pages of study material. The best part is that you can confirm whether you chose the right answer needed while taking the practice PRAXIS exam. 240 Tutoring might be the way to go in preparing for the PRAXIS.

Using instant technology to pass the PRAXIS rather than having to deal with paper study guides and inconvenient group studying times will save you many headaches during your preparation.
