An Indiegogo Gadget That Speaks Your Language

Love is in the air and on Indiegogo too. The Wavery Lab’s Pilot was conceived when founder and CEO Andrew Ochoa met a girl who spoke French and didn’t understand English. Andrew spoke no French.

The Pilot consists of a three part system, two Bluetooth earpieces, one for you and one for the person you wish to communicate with, and your phone. What you say is automatically translated with a minimum of lag. In the first release, the pilot will translate to and from English, French, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese. Future versions will add German, Danish, Swedish, Russian, Ukrainian, Czech, Polish, Hebrew, Arabic, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Hindi, Urdu, and Afrikaans. If you buy the Pilot during the launch campaign, you will always receive the language packs for free.

Version one of the Pilot might require internet access. Following versions will not. Plans are in the works to create a Pilot that when you put in the earpiece, everything you hear will be translated and the translation of what you say will come from the speaker on your phone.

Designed to hug the ear, the Bluetooth earpiece comes in three colors, red, black, and white. The Pilot earpiece is for wireless music streaming too.

The Pilot Indiegogo campaign has more than met the goal. As of June 25, 2016, it is 3175% funded, with $2,643,162 USD total funds raised. The Pilot is promised for a May 2016 launch and there is still a little room to get in on the funding page. This Gadget offers “A life untethered.” The ability to travel and communicate in any language would certainly be that.
